Orthodox Standard

The Mission Statement

The Orthodox Standard is an internet periodical published by the monastic brotherhood of the Abbey of the Holy Name (Autonomous Genuine Orthodox Metropolia of North and South America and the British Isles) with the purpose of providing a clear, traditional, and genuine Orthodox witness to a world sunk in the mire of relativism, materialism, ecumenism, and modernism. It seeks to publish the works of excellent and devoted Orthodox peoples, lay and clergy alike (of selective Genuine Orthodox jurisdictions), who can explain the troubling problems of our age and provide encouragement to all Orthodox peoples.

With charity to all, and a profound understanding of our own sinfulness, we offer this work up to a most merciful and loving Trinity. +

“So shall they from the West fear the Name of the Lord and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Sprit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” Isaias 59:19
